However, it appears he is losing the contention. Gianluca Di Marzio has told SkySports that Barcelona and Atletico are near doing a deal for Felix to join Barcelona on loan this season. The fee for the loan is believed to be around €7-8m, with his wages probably included.

Felix’s wages are believed to be in overabundance of €10m each year, meaning Barcelona would be drawing closer €20m for a season of Felix. Given Felix can neither get into the Chelsea nor the Atletico Madrid team, and appears to be probably not going to begin at Barcelona as well, this would be an incredible expense given their monetary circumstance.

Figured into the situation is Agent Jorge Mendes. Agent of Felix, Mendes likewise has close binds with Barcelona, and specifically with recently selected Sporting Director Deco.
