Jude Bellingham breaks Ronaldo record after just 3 Laliga matches

Jude Bellingham once again emerged as the hero for Real Madrid, securing a late 1-0 victory over Celta Vigo on Friday night.

This achievement sees the midfielder match the record set by Cristiano Ronaldo, scoring four goals in his first three LaLiga matches.

At 20 years old, Bellingham, who had previously netted a double in last week’s 3-1 win against Almeria, stands as the current top scorer in LaLiga.

His most recent goal was netted at Balaidos, where the former Birmingham player expertly headed home in the 81st minute from close range.

Bellingham’s transition to life in Spain has been seamless since his move from Borussia Dortmund in a deal worth up to £115 million.

He has accounted for four of Real Madrid’s six goals so far, surpassing the goal count of any other LaLiga club this season.

Remarkably, the England international has also contributed an assist, making his involvement in the club’s goals a staggering 83 percent this season.

To emphasize his remarkable start, his fellow midfielders Luka Modric, Toni Kroos, Eduardo Camavinga, and Aurelien Tchouameni collectively managed a mere six league goals last season.

Notably, no other Real Madrid player has achieved four goals in their initial three LaLiga matches since Ronaldo did so in 2009 after his move from Manchester United.

Bellingham is now poised to match Ronaldo’s record of scoring in his first four fixtures.

He stands as the eighth player in Real’s history to achieve this feat, following in the footsteps of only three others since Ferenc Puskas in 1958.

Before Ronaldo’s extraordinary start in 2009, Wesley Sneijder and Rafael van der Vaart had also scored four times in their initial three games in 2007 and 2008, respectively.

Additionally, Bellingham is the first non-forward to accomplish this since Cesc Fabregas for Barcelona in 2011.

Looking ahead, Bellingham, alongside Real Madrid, is gearing up for a Madrid derby encounter against Getafe at the Bernabeu next week. This match promises to be yet another exciting chapter in Bellingham’s remarkable journey in the world of football.
