Taiwo Awoniyi beats Son, Darwin Nunez, Jesus, etc. in the top 10 best strikers in the EPL, ranked by TalkSport.

Super Eagles and Nottingham Forest forward Taiwo Awoniyi has been recognized by British media organization TalkSports, earning a spot in their list of the top ten strikers in England.

At 26, the former Liverpool player joined Nottingham Forest after facing stiff competition at Liverpool. Awoniyi played a crucial role in helping Nottingham Forest avoid relegation last season, scoring vital goals.

Ranking higher than players like Gabriel Jesus, Heung-min Son, and Nunez, Awoniyi made history as the third African player to score in seven consecutive Premier League matches. Last season, he netted 11 goals in 30 matches across all competitions for Nottingham Forest.

Awoniyi’s goal ratio of 149 minutes per goal puts him ahead of notable names like Gabriel Jesus, Julian Alvarez, and Heung-min Son. His impressive performances also earned him a call-up to Jose Peseiro’s Super Eagles, where he marked his debut with a goal.

This season, Awoniyi found the back of the net in the opening three games, including goals against Arsenal and Man Utd. He also provided two assists in the subsequent two matches.
