Claire Rupio, widow of the late Christian Atsu, recently shared a heartfelt revelation about how she copes with the loss of her husband.

In a poignant interview with The Athletic, Claire candidly expressed her ongoing struggle with grief, stating, “When people ask, ‘How are you coping?’ I don’t cope. I just survive each day.”

Despite extensive search efforts by local and international rescue teams, Christian’s lifeless body was eventually recovered from the rubble, confirming his untimely passing. The news of his demise shook the football world, leaving behind a legacy of talent and compassion.

Christian Atsu, known for his remarkable career with clubs such as Chelsea and Newcastle United, was laid to rest on March 17, 2022, in his hometown of Ada, located in Ghana’s Greater Accra Region.
